what is an io error?

i downloaded a bunch of .cdi's without realizing they were not self bootable. is there anyway to make these self-boot? note, i do not have the actual gd-rom.

many people are faced with this problem from what i can tell. one guy says there is a patch for this, but it doesn't work. i'm pretty much giving up hope to use the boot disc on chankast, unless someone can help me out.

i'm trying to play some games and get the IO control error. I understand daemon tools 3.29 gets past these errors, but for whatever reason i get a blue screen everytime i try and install that version. so instead i have the newest DT working fine, only it doesn't get past io errors. is there...

I recently downloaded daemon tools 3.29 and upon installing i got a blue screen saying "trying to execute unexecutable memory." I'm running winXP and got the installer off of the daemon tools homepage. PLEASE HELP. I can't play Power Stone because alcohol 120% gives me the iocontrol error!

anyway to use a utopia boot disc on chankast for non self-boot games? i've tried mounting it then mounting the game image after it loads up, but nothing happens, then i hit reset and it freezes... i tried burning the boot disc so it' read from 2 different drives, but that had the same result.

hi, i'm only really concerned because 2 of my friends have chankast running no their pcs and they are almost identicle to mine. i meet the system requirements of chankast, and don't get any error messages. it's just the video isn't right. on the dashboard i can't see the words file/play etc...

PLEASE tell me this game is working somehow?!? I have PJ64 v.1.6 and it's saying needs a video plug in. I don't want to start F'ing aroung with plugins again for I just got my emulator working properly. Any answer is greatly treasured.
