Yoshi's Story Freezes after Nintendo Logo In Pj64 2.1

Like the title says whenever I load Yoshi's Story the Nintendo logo shows up, I hear Yoshi say Nintendo and then the screen goes black and the emulation freezes up. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. And as for the plugin I am using, it is the version of Glide that came packaged with the emulator.

Does it happen when you open the emulator and it's the first rom you launch? I do get black screens on a number of games too, but only if I end emulation of another game then attempt to start those.

Yes it does. The emulator totally freezes up. I can tell because the clock even stops running.
