why is my sound so choppy?

in most of my games the sound skips and is really choppy... im using the default jabo sound plugin that comes with pj64 1.6

anyway to fix this?

There are many causes to this. Normally syncing audio to gameplay in the audio plugin config will fix it. It can also be caused by having a system below the minimum requirements, or a game specific issue or the product of a slowdown.

video card
Plugins( are you using defaults or 3rd party?)
