Slightly old version of Hacktarux's RSP (works VERY well with Azimer's HLE Audio)
To install the RSP plugin, download it, extract it, and rename it to RSP.dll, and replace the old one in Project64's Plugin folder.
What the RSP plugin does is let you sync the audio to the game without limiting the VI/s to 60 (so when you press F4 it will still speed up).

I would say it depends on the game you are wishing to run. I tend to use 1964, PJ64, PJ64k, Mupen64, Nemu64 and Corn. Out of them all the single best has to be the newest BETA of PJ64 1.7 along with its newest updates. Though I do still end up playing PJ64 1.5 with Glide64 Napalm for many games. That is more as its fast and I have a slower system.
