Wave Race frame uncapping breaks PJ64

I've been playing around with uncapping Wave Race from its 20DL/s frame rate and have succeeded somewhat (though not in a good way) on my overclocked build of 1964. However, it breaks the DYNAREC in Project64, it says a PERMANENT loop has been entered. For some reason my change does really slow down the cpu emulation (it uses 90% of my 3.25GHz to emulate it now at 32DL/s), so I assume it is entering a big loop and PJ64 isn't able to handle it.

The change is to this ROM :-

Wave Race 64 (E) (M2) [!].v64

file offset: 0x86133
change 0x01 at above location to 0x0F

Other emulators (NEMU, 1964) handle this change fine, just PJ doesn't seem to. Thought I might mention this so PJ64 can be improved.

doesn't work on the interpreter r4k core either. i'm using current 1.7 version, don't have 1.6 around.

Does 1964 not have this issue when using all of Project64's plugins instead?

If it still doesn't, then the issue is probably similar to the TWINE 007 crash, which the other emulators also do not have.
