It's easy enough to download the files one by one and pack them together....

OK not that I'm planning to redistribute stuff on my site or anything but what's the deal with repackaging being bad? It's not hurting anybody. I can see how announcing it on this forum could get annoying, but as far as offering "customized installs" or whatever, I don't see how anyone has a problem with it. Someone please explain.

Jabo does NOT wish his plugins to be packed with ANYTHING other than official releases (of Project 64...), same is true of other authors, and their wishes must be respected.

that is what is the "deal" is, had you bothered to READ the manuals or H3ad5h0tter's text up there in post #2 you would have known that.

You may NOT repackage Project64 (add, remove, alter files) without the authors' permission - this INCLUDES distribution of Jabo's and Zilmar's plugins seperately - they are a part of Project64. It's also best for users if they get the complete package and documentation. You are welcome to distribute the original archive as long as you do not charge for it

Pretty much, it's up to the authors whether or not they want their plugins distributed. Some authors don't care, but some authors such as jabo and zilmar do not want their plugins distributed outside their emulators so we must respect their wishes and not distribute them.
