Real Native Resolution Question!!!

Hello everybody

I have great doubts about the native resolutions of dreamcast games.

Anyone know how I do this?

I wonder especially the resolution of 2D games CAPCOM (SF Alpha 3, Jojos, CAPCOM VS SNK 1 and 2 ...)

If someone can help me, I'll be very grateful.

IIRC, the Dreamcast uses 640x480 as its native resolution.
Thank you for reply.

I ask this because some 2D Capcom' games (MvC1, Jojo´s, SFA3, SSF2T) show me on emulator always 240p or 320x240 with black bars. (I use NullDC because Demul no show me any information about resolutions)

If cropped and resize get 320x224, the correct size game input.

But games with 3D + 2D sprites backgrounds (MvC2, CvsSNK 1,2) get 480i or 640x480 or 640x448 or 640x240.

It´s no have black bars if cropped get like this:

My doubt was whether the information is correct, using NullDC or Demul it same thing.

Games you described above were directly ported from the arcade versions (CPS-2 nad CPS-3 hardware), which used 384x224 as their native resolution -- converted to 320x240 on the console and then upscaled to 640x480 most likely.

MvC2 and its ilk on the other hand used the NAOMI arcade hardware, which uses 640x480 natively. Most of the time anyway.
