I'm new to the N64 emulation, but not to emulation in general, and I have a question about the roms themselves. I have some roms that have the extension .v64. However, I also have several that have the extension .pt. Here's an example:

1080 Snowboarding (E)[!].v64
1080 Snowboarding (E)[b1].v64.pt
where the pt is considerably smaller size file as well

Now I know the goodtools codes (bad dump, good dump, etc.), so I'm not asking about that. I looked for a FAQ about this and didn't have any luck. I also tried searching, and came up empty. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

At your service, dood!
My theory is the .pt stands for patch, notice the file name:

A) 1080 Snowboarding (E)[!].v64
B) 1080 Snowboarding (E)[b1].v64.pt

Ignore the pt file and try running the v64 in 1964/PJ64, because if that is what i think it is you don't want to patch it, it will turn your rom into a bad rom if i am correct.
