Project64 Crashing.

Hi!

So far I've been able to play some games using your emulator. Can't thank you enough for it, great job!

However, it keeps crashing on me every single time. I'm using V 1.6. Have searched through the FAQ and forum and couldn't find an answer.

First, I get some window telling me about an error in data processing, and that the emulator might have to shut down. Seconds later, it crashes. I'm attaching a screenie with the error message that always comes up before it crashes; don't mind the language, just have a look at the error in jabo_direct3d8.dll....

This happens with every game, not just one. Goldeneye, Smash Bros, Perfect Dark, you name it... Happens both in windowed mode and full screen mode.

What can I do to solve this? Thanks in advance.

Switch to the D3D6 1.5.2 plugin. Presumably, the Intel graphics you have is just the 'Extreme' DX6 part that lacks any kind of shaders required for the D3D8 plugin to function properly.

I actually have a similar problem: Whenever I try and restart PJ64 emulation using F1, it crashes. I have a much better Video card that's supported by D3D8(see sig) so I can't really see what the problem could be.

Could you please explain how to switch to the D3D6 1.5.2 plugin? I'm a real newb at computers.

Its rather simple.

In the "options" menu, there is a option to change video plugins. It should be simply a case of selecting the plugin from the dropdown list for the video plugin selection

One question. does anyone have any idea why this program would just quit about a second after it opens, except when the installer is used to open it?

More Problems!

Ya I cant save on No Mercy. it saids "Would you like to save this superstar?" I click yes go to the menu screen then I end emulation.

Then I open the rom again and My Textures of superstars are not there! and they are deleted from the mempak too!!!

Also its runing slow can someone help me fix these problems?????
