Need help configuring my Xbox 360 controller for my PC

I can't seem to figure out how to get this emulator to recognize my xbox 360 wired controller. Can anyone help me out? The drivers for it are installed but project 64 does not pick it up when I try to change the game pad to the correct name. A general game pad shows up but not one that says "Xbox 360 Controller"

Any help?

Hopefully, yes. If you didn't find anything, you're doing it wrong.

For the record, I'm not giving you a direct answer because quite frankly I don't remember the details. What I'm sure though is that the question you've asked has been asked at least ten if not more times before, and the answer can be found on this board.

Update: I fixed the controller issue but now when i play the games the graphics kind of freeze up. Any ideas?

Well, what' kind of computer specs do you have, and are you using the default plugins? What game are you trying to play and does this "freezing" happen in every game you've tried?
