Menu problem with Majora's Mask

On the pause menu of Majora's Mask, there is no way to select any of the items. When I hit right or left the screen just goes to the next screen and I can't equip or move the cursor on the items. I've tried different ROMS and all of them have the same problem. Is there any way I can fix this? I'm using Rice's Video Plugin 5.4.3
My PC is:

Operating system: XP
RAM: 512 MB
Pentium 4
2.80 GHz

You're using the keys configured to be the D-Pad on a N64 controller. Use the keys configured to the analog stick (or change the input configuration in case you put the D-Pad and the analog stick on the same keys).
