Loading a PJ64 save into 1964

Hey....... people
Well here's why I'm posting, I want to know how to get a Pj64 save loaded into 1964. As I know 1964 has the capability to do so.
i.e "CPU>>Import Project64 Save state..."
I just can't seem to get it too work, so that's why I am here asking for your help.

Below is what I've been trying to get it to work, with no success of course.

Or if you'd prefer I did screen shots of the whole endeavour:
http://www.imagehostingsite.com/gallery.php?entry=images/jnwmyjnttoztmqz3nrwq.jpg

1. I Run Project64.exe version 1.6

2. Select one of my numerous zelda roms

3. Run it using "Jabo's Direct3D6 1.5.2","Jabo's Direct Sound 1.6",
"Basic KeyBoard plugin."

4. Then when I get up to the part I want I press
System>>Save as... and then I name it & save it

5. I then proceed to fire up 1964.exe (version 0.8.5.0) with identical
plug ins to the ones that I was using in PJ64 excluding Jabo's Direct Sound 1.6
(which I replaced with "No audio Plugin 2.0 for 1964) because when Jabo's
sound is enabled 1964 cannot import save states at all (just feezes when you
hit import save states)

6. Load up the exact same rom I used in PJ64

7. In 1964 click CPU>>Import Project64 Savestate...

8. When I browse for my save it doesn't show up where I saved it, and to
find my file I have to do on of two things: 1) change the browsing
option to "all files" or 2) rename my save to have a ".pj" extension.

9. I select my file

10.An error message appears saying "Rom Header mismatched, this PJ64 save
state could be for another ROM Do you want to continue...yes...no

11.If I click "yes" 1964 either freezes (unresponsive) or displays a black
screen.

So please help me...:bouncy:

Thanks guys for your replies.
As you stated there is a newer version of 1964, and yes I have tried it.
Importing the saves into it didn't work either.

This is really quite frustrating any light shed on the a result would be nice :(

But in the case that I cannot import my saves, thanks for trying =]

It's simple: Way too many variables for this sort of thing to stay working. ZSNES can't even load it's own save states taken from an older version, and it even uses what is essentially LLE. Here we have two N64 emulators which are both using imprecise HLE, special settings and plugins to get games working. As soon as either emulator is updated, the whole thing breaks. You would have to use the correct versions of the plugins, emulators and configuration settings for both emulators for this to work in theory.

what i dont understand is why it has the option to load pj64 save states if you say theres no way it would ever work.

The option was never taken out. It's been there for years, presumably broken for most of that time.

Oh lol I see.... it is broken in a matter of speaking.
But before we let this one die one thing that got me thinking is:
well if this feature is in 1964 (even the newer version) surely under some circumstance it must work?

Or alternatively was someone just to lazy to take this feature out? :)
Never the less thank you for your assistance on the matter.

And if it isn't too much too ask could someone give a me a working save state of LoZ-OoT* for my version of 1964 (stated above). Preferably adult link Kakiriko. I don't care if he has any items or temples beaten or any of that... just that he is adult and in Kakiriko.

*(if you need my rom versions looks at my screen shots)
