Lagging when playing GC

Hello guys!

I am running on a;
AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3000+ 2GHZ
1GB Ram
NVIDIA GeForce 6800 LE

When I play Gamecube games on Dolphin they lag very much, even on the meny screens.
My computer runs perfecty on Doom 3 or Half Life 2 which has much better graphics then let's say Naruto 2 and Super Smash bros (the ones I tried).

Whats the problem? Something in the settings or is my computer too bad?
I really appriciate a fast answer...

That's normal behaviour.... Doom 3 and Half Life 2 are running on the platform they were programmed for, the GC games are being emulated (a totally different processor architecture and graphics platform).
