Jopypad Config help

Hi,
I can't seem to get my joypad to configure with Project 64.
I'm using a PS2 pad using a usb convertor.
It works fine on MAME and ZSNES.
Please help!I'm useless, a step by step guide would be greatly appreciated!

I'm guessing you are using Jabo's DirectInput7 plugin. Does you pad show up in the Device box? Is 'Controller is plugged in' box checked?

You just have to check the settings of the plugin (if the controller is plugged in, if the joypad is really intalled - cp...). Look for something you think that can be the cause (somthing related to the joypad config), like Agozer said.

use the controller plugin for 1.4. worked for me

how do you get that? ive got 1.6 and ive also configured my controller, but when i upload the rom, ie ocarina of time, it says no controller on the screen. i know the controller works because i just configured it on p64, and it also works on znes. i checked the drive and everything is working. i also have a ps2 controller to usb adapter. also the controller plugged in box is checked. can you give me some advice?
