Isn't this error related to Direct3d settings (the message is something like "Direct 3D failed to open graphics plugin...")? It happened to me once, but was because of two pj64 emulators open at the same time and the second one couldn't read the plugins that was being used by the first. We need to know the error message. Checking pj64.net support area is a good idea, either.
