A little thing labeled 'Access Violation' keeps popping up and I have no idea what it means...
It says 'While processing graphics data an exception occurred you may need to restart the emulator.'
Sooo I have two questions...
How do I restart it?
and...
How do I get that little message to go away?
Help please...

What graphics card do you have? Are you sure you have a good ROM? Do you have the latest RDB file?

Run dxdiag and check the Display tab. That should tell you what your graphics card is.

This is what I see:
Name: Mobile Intel(R) 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express
Manufacturer: Intel Corp.
Chip Type: Intel(R) 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express chipset
DAC: Internal
Approx. Total Memory: 128.0 MB
Current Display Mode: 1024 x 768 (32 bit) (60 Hz)
Monitor: Plug and Play Monitor

is any of that what you were looking for?

Yes. Try Jabo's Direct3D6 plugin, as it's more or less the only plugin that works decently with Intel chips. Change the active graphics plugin via Options --> Settings --> Plugins
