HELP messed up non 3D objects

when i play in 1964, all the 3d modles are okay, but anything thats not 3D is all sqashed. Like my shields and items in SSB. Im using Rice's 5.5.1 video plug in. What options in the plug in should i change??

1) Upgrade Rice's plugin to the newest one.
