Having trouble with saves for Paper Mario and Majora's Mask

When I started playing/saving Majora's Mask, I thought all was well. Went to play this morning and there was no save data. Same went for Paper Mario, and I don't know why it vanished. Any suggestions?

Make sure that Project64's save folder is not read-only. No save data was ever written to the disk if the folder can't be written to, obviously.
