Glide64 and Mario Kart Menu Lag

Hello,
when using Glide64 with or without textures, there is always lag at the menu. It works just fine with the default plugin from Project64. Any ideas what could be causing it?

How long of a lag are we talking about?

I think he means the game runs slow while in the menus.

It is Project64 2.0; it delays about half a second in between menu selections and what not.

1. What input plugin are you using?
2. Are you using a controller?

I am using all default plugins other than Glide64. I am not using a controller.
