Controls dont seem to be working

I am trying to play Ocarina of Time with Project 64. This is the first time I have used Project 64 on this computer and for some reason none of the controls seem to be working. Does project 64 work with Windows 7 64bit? I am just trying to use my keyboard and while the keys are mapped none of them seem to be responding. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you

*edit* seems to not be recognizing and controller plugins at all. I have downloaded several and placed them in the plugin folder and nothing changes.

Do you mean that no plugins appear on the plugin lists under Options --> Settings --> Plugins?
