collision detection in banjo-tooie and dk64

Banjo-Tooie and DK64 had the following issues on my two PC's here:

When fire'n a projectile as in a fire egg, or a cocanut at a button, the system doesnt seem to respond to the hits. included the place that is given the issue in banjo-tooie, as for dk64 issue happened awhile ago just never brought it up.

hardware on the pc's are : ATI radeons 9800xt, an cheaper all in wonder radeon 8xxx
amd chips, 64bit at some gig hz, 32 bit at 1.8ghz
1 gig ddr, 1 gig slowram in other pc

usen the rice 5.5.0, and few others, both in directx, an ogl have the same issue.

rsp plug in enabled or disabled still same problem.

even tried misc sound plugins incase it was a time'n issue, as for other misc. settings, have gone thru about all working configurations from wire frame, to full fledged enhancements with textures and frame skipping to every frame.

but seems definetly a Z-sorting issue, able to see the polygons overlap'n at times over the buttons. the projectiles do colide with the critters and wall ok, along with the generators in glitter gultch mines.

any help would be greatly appreciated, if you were able to pass or do these things on the settings that got you thru these two places in the games.

Worked on seen if PJ64 could pass that point, an it did with ease. Havnt tried to figure out the diffrence between the two, till i find some info on what parts the plug ins play in the emulator over the gui's.
