"attempt to open file failed"

I downloaded ocarina of time off of *** and tried playing it through Project 64 but it says "attempt to open file failed." any suggestions?

2 read the agreement next time you join a form.
3 did you unzip it?

Refresh the ROM Browser, and if you are loading the game via File --> Load instead of using the Rom Browser, make sure that you are actually trying to load an N64 ROM image instead of, say, a savestate.

i am having the same problem. the file is unzip and i am loading a N64 ROM. "attempt to open file failed" is the message that appears. help?

There are two possibilities:
1. The file you are attempting to open is not really a ROM.
2. The file you are attempting to open is corrupt.
