Adaptoid / NFSU Problem

I don't know why... I've been able to play NFSU with my N64 controller and adaptoid but suddenly there's a problem, when I start the game with the adaptid plugged in, the menus just go crazy.... what could it be?

Can you give us an example of how "the menus just go crazy?"

by crazy he probably means the menus going up and down by themselves.

it must be the way the game interprets the analog stick, try moving it a bit and see if it stops, else.. (as a last resort if you can't fix it) unplug the n64 controller.. it was never designed for pc gaming anyway

Yeah, I remember reading in the N64 game manuals not to hold the analog stick in any direction when turning the system on because it could make the controller act weird. Maybe he had the analog stick held down or something and it got messed up.
