A Little Help Needed For Super Smash Bros Melee

Hi guys.I have a question.I opened super smash bros gcm.It worked game opened and there was no problem until I try to pres start to start a game.After I select somebody and press start It hangs.Do anybody know anthing about this problem?Any help would be appericiated.

My system:OS:Windows XP Video:Geforce-FX 5500 256 mb SoundIreally dont know but I had disabled the sound before the game started. Ram:512 DDR HD:40GB CPU: Pentium 4 3.04 ghz
