I've got another question about Geforce4 MX440.
I was wondering whether anyone could give me any info on how much faster a GF4 MX440 64MB is with DDR, rather than SD?
I'm thinking that it is a little faster, but still depends on your CPU speed.

If a graphic card has DDR VRAM insetad of SD VRAM of course it wil be better and faster
"Sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction"
yeh, i though so. but how much faster, and isnt it limited by the speed of your processor and the amount of RAM you have?
Or does this not have as much influence over the card's performance than whether it SD or DDR?
Erm, not quite. For example, the GF2 MX 400 had:If a graphic card has DDR VRAM insetad of SD VRAM of course it wil be better and faster
SDR running on a 128bit bus
Wheras
The GF2 MX200 *which was a lot worse* had:
DDR running on a 64bit bus
As DDR has a higher latency than SDR, the card proved to be somewhat slower than it's SDR equivalent which had the better bus.
I don't believe the same limitations exist on the GF4 MX line, but it could be worth you checking Nvidias site just to make sure.
im not sure that the nvidia site has much info on it> well nothing that specific. but thanks anyway
