    audio problem no mercy

    Hai there,

I've a problem with the game no mercy with project64 1.5.
    The sound stutters like hell.
Has anyone had that same problem, or could it be that i have
    a bad soundcard. (seems unlikely)
I've tried 2 different audio pluggins,
    Jabo directsound 1.5 and
    Zilmar's audio pluggin,
    no difference.

Other than that, it works fine

    Help :!!!:

    1. Your processor is too slow for PJ64, try 1964 with Azimer's audio plugin.
    2. You need more memory (128=ok, 256=good, 512=great)
    3. You need a new video card. Get a Newer Radeon, or a GF4 MX, or Ti.
    4. Your soundcard is fine.
    5. Get Windows XP, ME is terrible.

I hear that a lot of ME, funny

Slow system yeah, most games are running sloppy with pj64, but it's one of the best.

But thanx for the tip of using 1964
And if that doen't work, I will just have to wait till I get a new system

40 gb hard drive with XP

Get a Geforce4 Ti card... Don't get a gf4 mx... they're over priced and... not very good

192 ram for XP is really borderline, you should attempt to buy a little more.

The Mx's arent overpriced. They're in the hundreds and they are pretty good.

    Err, wait a minute! :!!!:
The geforce4 ti are the best cards out there and very expensive!
    Try a geforce3 ti, they're a little cheaper...

And why does ME outperform XP you ask? Because XP requires more memory than ME. Get more, and they'll perform about as good, although XP will do better than ME.

It is indeed a fact, you could say, that XP is a more stabile system
than ME, but ME isn't that bad.
I still work with it and it's okay
