    Computer viruses not just for your PC anymore.

    Well it looks like Antivirus software is going to have more difficulties than before. Now don't you hate the idea that your CELL PHONE can get an internet WORM? Read this article for such fun thoughts.

    Blame that on commercial software developers getting lazy on security. If the operating system is done right, then even the worst virus could only delete a few user files (if that), without sacrificing the users ability to make big changes to their system.

    Thats the one advantage to the Macintosh. The OS is written on one huge flashable bios chip, so even formatting the Hard Drive doesnt get rid of the OS and a virus cant get rid of it unless it can flash the chip.

    well, you dont necessarily need to go to those extremes...

    /me points to linux

    sure they aren't foolproof (though it could easily be), but it certainly makes it much easier for the user to protect himself without any memory hogging and expensive third party anti-virus software (which IMO is very unnecessary, only useful for internet newbies).
