The only thing you could probably test is a modified driver by laptopvideo2go, they are specially modified to run on notebooks/net books, but they should also work on unsupported chip sets etc.
I believe I'm using the latest version of Project 64. It's 1.6 that I have after checking.
I'm not sure that modified driver-thing would work as I'm using a desktop PC. I don't know, though, but I don't really want to try it as of yet.
(You'll have to forgive me replying four days later, I didn't see the third page [and I'm used to there being 20 posts per page-which I'll probably change as it's on 10 posts per page right now.])
Why don't try it? It can't make it worser and I fixed multiple bad gfx cards, which didn't seem to work with normal Desktop drivers with the modified stuff.
