Anyone tried OOT virtual console rom?
Just wondering - has anyone tried using the OOT rom that's on the Wii virtual console on a pc emulator? Supposedly it has an improved framerate (maybe internal, so higher than the 17fps cap). Just curious. Thanks,
PS. http://neosource.1emu.net/forums/ind...ic=919.msg7582 < - in case anyone wants to try it, there's a tool to extract the rom apparently..

Judging from youtube videos that I've seen, the framerate doesn't seem to be any higher. By the way, the European version of the game ran at 16.7 FPS but the US and Japanese versions were 20 FPS. Would be cool to see an emulator that would be able to run this game at 60 FPS. I remember seeing some beta footage of Ocarina of Time and it seemed like the game was running at least 30 FPS. Beta versions of games are always better, it's a shame they had to make it worse.

I've looked at some of the youtube videos as well, but it's kind of hard to tell since there's a framerate cap on those. Some reviews I've read stated that it *is* smoother, but whether that just means that the framerate is more consistent rather than just higher is yet to be seen..

It is the same. I know because I have the Wii version and I have played my friend's Nintendo 64 version.
