    the debug rom needs a far faster computer as it is run in Interpretor.

    nope, it runs in full speed on 1.7.

    I suspect a core issue.

    thats because it uses rec in 1.7

    If you look at the RDB entry I posted some posts ago you'll see that it's set to the recompiler there, too.
