command line not working

I use a front end which utilzes command line inputs and for some reason I can't get project64 to except command lines. I allways get this error...


The Project64 window opens with a pop up that says, "Attempt to open file failed"

When I click ok it takes me into project64 where I can just click, File, OpenRom, and selct the same rom entered in the command line...

here the command line...

"D:\Arcade\N64\Project64.exe" "D:\Arcade\ROMS\N64 ROMS\WaveRace64.z64"

Project64 is in that folder and the rom in the correct folder.

I have tried it with zip files, etc... nothing seems to work.

The problem could be caused by the space in the "N64 ROMS" directory name. Try renaming the directory to "N64" and change the settings accordingly.

This may be a permission problem, especially with Vista.

IIRC, I would see something closer to that with some applications when being ran under a limited user account, some may falsely claim the file cannot be found and tells you to make sure the path and filename are correct, even when you typed the right path and filename.
