    Help with Spiker Battle

    Hi there

I am having problem with it atm, just wondering can you guys give some pointers.

I've downloaded the demul 4.8, and downloaded the naomi bios

(firstly which one should i choose, naomi, naomi2, naomigdrom?)

and I put the zip file in the ROMS dir I created in the installed directory.

I then downloaded the rom for spikers:

which is the file gds-0005.chd after unrar

But when I start it as for spkrbtl.zip not found.

So I zip the gds-0005.chd and rename it to spkrbtl.zip

it then complains about spkb.bin not found in the zip...

so I rename gds-0005.chd file, to spkb.bin and rezip it...

now it complains about the expect size is 184549376 instead of 203023556

and now I seems to be stuck...

Do i need to download a different ROM

BTW my setting for demul is pointed to:

naomi bios, epr-21577d (USA) and I tried with all 3 naomi.zip files and still not working...

So any help would be much appreciated thanks

Spikers Battle is a Naomi GDROM game.

DO NOT rename files and their extensions to something completely different on a whim, they have specific filenames and extensions for a reason.

You need the romset, the BIOS set and the disc image. You already had the disc image (the CHD) and the BIOS, but it seems that you are missing the romset.

    Thanks for your help

I got all the files required and I was able to start up however the frame rate was pretty slow and can't really play.

So I tried update the latest GeForce 6600 drivers
And I turned the CPU mode into DynaRec

There is a slight improvement and the frame rate increase to 36...

Is there any other ways to increase the speed?

My computer is4 3 Gig Hz 1 Gig ram

    running window XP

and I tried different video plugins

    Thanks for your help
