Problem with n64 controller

I have all the right settings for my n64 controller, trust me. 0% deadzone 50% range all the right binds for the controller, all that stuff. But, when I try to move who ever im controlling, the sensitivity is so low. For example, when playing OOT, when I want Link to run normally, he walks like I am barely moving the analog stick. I am litterly pushing as hard as I can with the analog stick and I'm barely moving.

I have noticed the controller is a little faulty, but not terribly bad. I have a usb porter that can use a ps2 controller and a n64 one. Should I just go for the PS2 one or can you explain how to fix my problem. Thanks.

This happened to me with Jet Force Gemini a while back. I just got a different controller plugin and I've been good ever since.

And was it really necessary to bump your own thread after just one hour? It's not like the board moves that fast anyways.
