    Dolphin crashing upon loading

Hey there, I'm currently running the latest version of Dolphin (v1.03) and I'm having a problem where every time I try to open the .Gcm (for tales of symphonia which is apparently compatible with this emulator) file I get the "a problem has occurred" popup and the program shuts down

Currently running (or at least trying to) this on a
    -windows xp professional
-Intel core 2 duo CPu T9600@ 2.8 Ghz
    -3.5 GB of RAM
    -NVIDIA Quadro FX 770M

heres a screenshot of the error

I'm currently using all of the default plugin's and I'm not sure if any of those have to be changed.

any help would be very much appreciated

You could have spent a little time to search around, but it's ok. YOu're using a very old version of the emulator. Get the highest number here:

ahh, I did have a look around but I thought that SVN was some sort of plug in /add on for dolphin. didn't realize that there were newer versions.

thanks for the quick reply though, using the new version doesn't crash at least only getting an error saying "failed to load DSP plugin plugins\plugin_DSP_HLE.ddl" and then an error saying "couldn't init the core, check your configuration".

guess I'll search these forums a bit more and try to find something as that's probably a more common problem, a point in the right direction would be nice though

Update: i tried the older versions which ran the .gcm fine, but froze up after the cinimatic. when i looked this up it said to wait for a newer version, which is the one you gave me

guess I'm SOL untill a new one comes out.

What version of Directx do you have? Upgrade to the August 2008 version just to be on the safe side.

Um.......I'm pretty sure it gets in game though, I think I've seen threads about it.

    Oops no it isn't:

Okay, why does the Dolphin site not even mention the SVN versions on their downloads page? It's causing too many threads like this one.

We've been over this before many times p_025. It's standard practice in emulating not to give out new compiles. But IMO these forums should have a sticky explaining the situation, like a READ FIRST or something.

I didn't say give out new compiles, just mention that "Hey, there's something better."
