save states and cheats

how do i keep the gamegenie cheats enabled after loading the savestate for example i load the cheats for legend of zelda 1 and it works fine then i load my save state and now the cheats dont work how can i fix this?

game genie in general is a somewhat iffy things since it often modifies game code, so depending on the code you can't simply enable or disable it without resetting the game

if you enabled it and it was working fine, and this is just an issue with loading a save state it might be worth looking into as a potential bug tho, can you let me know what code specifically you are having an issue with? and perhaps a deeper explanation of how to recreate this problem
