    Problems loading Dolphin R438 X2

Hi. I seem to be having a problem with Dolphin. Initially the emulator would load ROMs without sound and they would be very very laggy, so I changed the plugins to the DX9 plugin and the DirectSound plugin. Now whenever I try to load a game the emulator says failed to load DSP plugin. I tried changing the plugins back and it still won't work. Please help.

    Computer Specs. Intel Q6600
    HIS Radeon HD 3870 x2
    4 gigs of DDR3 RAM ~1333MHz
    Sound Blaster Audigy 2

I've downloaded the latest version of Direct X. Do I need an older one or something?

Make sure you are using an SVN version of Dolphin (if you don't know, you probably aren't). Then ALWAYS use the HLE audio plugin, only use DSP null if you absolutely have to. Next, then OpenGL video plugin is recommended for NVidia cards, DirectX for ATI. You mentioned you already updated DirectX, which is good.

Also, most recent revision is 471. Update as often as possible, this thing is only getting better.
    Dolphin from SVN r7648:
    x86 Builds: r7648
    x64 Builds: r7648

    Desktop:
    OS: Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 3 | CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (2 CPUs, 2.40GHz) | RAM: 2x Corsair XMS 2GiB DDR2, 2x Corsair XMS 1GiB DDR2 (6GiB total, 3.25 recognized by XP) | Video: EVGA NVidia GeForce 8800GT 512MiB | Audio: Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic | CD/DVD Drives of note: LG8163b DVD-R

    New Revisions

You mean you didn't know there was newer versions/svn's even though there's two big sticky threads at the very top of this forum you posted in labled "Dolphin SVN Discussion" and "Dolphin SVN Shots"?

Anyways theres various people hosting new revisions including myself, I have a link in my signature where you can obtain the latest revision.

Once you download it, you'll want to enable Dual-Core and Dynarec in the dolphin.ini.

Use the OpenGL plugin if you have a decent Nvidia card, DirectX plugin if yoo have an ATI Card or Intel graphics accelerator.

Also open the gfx_dx9.ini and gfx_ogl.ini and set DLOptimize = True

OptimizeQuantizers improves speed and perfdormance a bit, but also causes problems with games such as Resident Evil Remake and Starfox Assault. So if you get weird charactors or glitches open dolphin.ini and set OptimizeQuantizers = False.

Also read the included readmes and faq.txt for common problems and solutions as well as requirements.
