Unhappy Please Help PJ64 Hates Vista

Could someone please help. I got a new laptop that runs on Windows Vista, the emulator doesn't work correctly. I have gone into properties and set it as run program in compatibility mode for Windows XP (which is what my old laptop ran on). However the emulator does open, but it has no data for the Legend of Zelda game. I can find my save files, but the original ROM is not showing. I am sure it didn't get lost in the transfer as everything dealing with PJ64 is in one folder. Is there something special I need to do to get it working again?

I did however to transport the files move the folder to a removable hard drive, than pasted them onto my new computer in My Documents. I don't think this would have anything to do with it though, but I'm not sure.

I don't really don't want to start a new game file since I was far in the old ones. If that is the only choice or whatnot I will do so than. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Uncheck the compatibility mode for Windows XP. That won't affect anything.

What exactly is happening when you open up Project64? How are you loading your ROM?

When the screen comes up where it usually said the game ROM name it has nothing. I searched through my PJ64 folder where I saved everything and I can find my game save files and other stuff, but that's about it. I looked at the ROM directory and it is set the PJ64 folder where all my stuff is kept. I tried going up to File Load ROM, but as I said all I can find it my save files. I know I didn't move the game ROM location when I transfered the files. Everything was saved in that folder and I transfered the whole folder.

In properties in security is says something about Admin, but I don't quite know how to set it. I just checked in compatibility and checked run this under admin settings. But however the ROM list still did not load or show.

I'm going to take a stab and ask you to goto settings and reconfigure the folders where pj saves stuff.
Then refresh the rom browser if needed with F5.
It sounds like folder problems rather than any game/file related problem.
