Error 1406

When I try and install pj64 it gives me an error message while installing. (error 1406 either abort retry or ignore). I have searched the forum and help questions and couldn't find a solution. It works great at my mom's place but not here. Please if someone can either direct me to a previous thread or give me a solution, thanks.

That sort of thing requires more info such as:
Are you on a Laptop or Desktop?
Vista or XP?
32 or 64 bit?
and finally
Is there a Security App or AV running that could stop the installation?

And my dad has a security program called Trend Micro PC

Do you have full access to the system (i.e. administrator privileges as opposed to restricted access)? I'm asking because error code 1406 usually refers to an instance where the installer tries to create registry keys to the Windows Registry but can't.
