what would be the best pad to use for N64 emulation? i know the BEST would be an adaptoid, but those are REALLY hard to find now. so what would everyone recommend?

I meant more along the lines of adapters for the real N64 pad. i own a few still working n64 controllers, and i'd prefer to use those then use a PSX pad design, as i don't think i could get comfortable with that. not to mention, i already own a PSX-PC adapter, which, imo works damn well.

i should have been more specific. my apologies.

the "boom" adapter is probably the most popular runner-up to the adaptoid but it has its limitations, http://www.emutalk.net/showthread.php?t=16748

apparently, there will be another limited run on the adaptoids. I'm going to hold out a bit, and buy a new adaptoid (or two) when it begins it's run.

assuming that's actually real, I'm pretty amped. It doesn't really look fake, because they have the ZTnet store backing them though. so woohoo.

I'm using a Saitek model P2600 Rumble Pad.
I'm pretty satisfied since it has 6 buttons in front, and 4 shoulder buttons.
I had some PSX clone before, but now with this one I can play any game without problems.

I never used one of those adapters considering by the time I felt the need to actually break down and buy a controller the Xbox 360 had hit and I found out a 360 Controller would function on a PC and I just use two of those bad boys.

i would have to agree that the 360 controller is phenominal ... i use wireless on pc and it works great for just about anything.
