Xbox360 controller not syncing?

I dl and installed XBCD pluged in my wireless 360 controller, it auto installed the plug and play drivers from microsoft, and XBCD won't even recodnize my controller, can't seem to figure out how to get about this. Tried a few diff. versions none work, any suggestions? Thanks

Question 1 - Are you using the Xbox 360's Wireless controller or the one designed for windows?

Question 2 - If you ARE using the one for Windows, Do you have the latest drivers for it?

Question 3 - If you HAVE the latest drivers have you tried different USB Slots?


If you answered No to the first one then you obviously missed the posting by Microsoft themselves when they said the Xbox 360's Standard Wireless Controller won't work with Windows. That's the reasoning behind developing one especially for windows PCs.

If you answered No to 2 or 3 then try that and report back I'll try to continue to assist you in anyway possible
