LittleGamers logo @ EmuTalk

Okay dudes, I/we need your opinion on this. There was an EmuTalk logo contest, and someone submitted a logo with the dudes from little-gamers.com in it. I thought that was pretty l33t, since Little Gamers rule, and EmuTalk does too. So, that would be a great combination. The logo is attached, btw.



I contacted the author of little-gamers.com, and, in exchange for a couple of bucks he would be willing to design a logo exclusively for EmuTalk, with the dudes of Little Gamers starring in it.

Ofcourse, when we get the logo, I'll make sure you can order it on mugs, mousepads, T-shirts, etc, kinda like the merchandise idea that's been running around here for a while. Think of it, you'll have AND Little Gamers, AND EmuTalk on your stuff.

Anyhoo, this was just an idea of mine, so before I reply to the LittleGamers author, I got a couple of questions that need to be answered. I'll label them A and B, and you can reply and answer the questions. Please label your answers A and B too.

A)
First of all, ofcourse the author wants a little $$$ in exchange. Now, I'm willing to chip in some bucks, but would you? Would you be willing to deposit $1.00 into a PayPal fund we'll set up for this occassion? Only a buck (more if you want, not necessary). You'll be supporting both EmuTalk, and Little-gamers.com too. With that first bit I mean we'll get the logo. We won't keep any of the money, it'll all go to the author.

B)
We ran an EmuTalk logo contest. Do you think it's fair to just discard all the submitted logos if this plan goes through? Or do you want to choose one of the submitted logos as a new EmuTalk logo?

Please, answer these questions. You can say either 'Yes' or 'No' to both questions, but an explanation as to why Yes or No would be nice.

The logo you attached is well nice, but its nothing which particularly amazes me or something which would look that good on the merchandise you were suggesting. I saw better designs when you held the user design contest a few months back for a new emutalk logo.

question A: to be honest i can think of things id rather spend my money on than a logo for a website

question B: although i like the little gamers cartoons i personaly think that the logos submited in the contest were very good and would prefere to see one of them chosen, especialy since the designers who did the logos did it for fun and dont expect any reward for their hard work other than the posibility that their logo might be used on the site

I would donate money for the logo, but the main problem I see is we don't actually know yet whether the logo would be better than any of the ones we already have.

I share Raging Fuels opinion. I do think that it will look pretty kewl though.

And as to B) I think it is a bit unfair.

A) Um, sorry. No can do. Even if I wanted to, I don't trust PayPal.

B) I have to agree this is unfair. Some people spent a lot of time on their logos that they created, and honestly, I don't think the LittleGamers would ever look as good as some of them, even if they were made by the original creator. Not to mention currently, the existing LittleGamers logo is behind two of the others in the polls so it isn't exactly the most popular idea so far.
