Help with

pokemon stadium 1 and 2 controls

the a and b buttons work ... but i can't get the directional buttons to work, im suing a joypad btw doesn't matter what i do it just doesnt allow me to use the directional buttons and or the analog stick to select my choice of pokemon and there attacks, help pls ???

You use the C buttons to select the Pokemon you want to send out and the attack they use.
