craziest idea

I all of a sudden had an idea... not sure if it'll ever be implemented in realtime computer tech, but what if they made a multi-core system that could run 2 completely different tasks.. with 2 monitors? Like say with a quad core, 2 cores for one video process, and the other 2 for another process. Maybe even switch up the cpu core usage.. be like 3 to 1. Add a dual core video card (like the 7950GX2 or whatever), and dual dvi.



Half-assed idea, but do they already got something out like that?

It is strange that you should mention that gokuss, because i actually had a conversation with my brother and a friend of mine about the same subject last sunday...The idea isn´t THAT crazy..

You can already force Windows to assign processes to certain cores... and with software like nVidia's nView, you can split your desktop across several monitors... that's what you wanted, right? If so, then this idea is already possible.
