Mobo no posting

I have a K8N-Neo4-F 3.0 (MS-7125). The board is new and I tested it with a new 450 watts PSU, that provides enought power (it gives 21 amps in the 12V rail). The CPU is a AMD64 Venice 3800+, and the videocard is a 7600GS.

The system doesn't post, however sometimes posts the videocard BIOS and the MSI logo but the freezes. I tried unplugging everything leaving just the CPU, video and RAM alone with the same results. What could be wrong?

Bad hardware? Faulty motherboard? Hardware not plugged down properly (especially video card)?

Well, I tried replugging the RAM, and I checked the CPU. The RAM and video is ok, I am sure. I don't want to think that the mobo is faulty, so what else can't be wrong?

can you describe it exactly, if there´s any beeps, what LED´s are on and so on?

Well, I don't have a PC speaker to check if there any beeps (I really need one for this kind of ocasions), when I turn it on, it usually doesn't show anything on screen, but sometimes it posts the videocards bios, and then the MSI logo, but it frezees just there, before I can hit tab to see what was going wrong, or hitting del to enter the BIOS setup. I'm able to turn off the mobo with the power switch btw

1st Check if the cooler of the CPU is working or if it is "sitting" OK on the CPU.
2nd Check if the +12V cable from the power supply is connected to the mobo.
3rd Check if the cable of the power supply is connected to the VGA (if needed).
4th Check if the RAM you have is supported from the mobo (MHz).

When we have to deal with pc "freezing" ,usually the fault goes to RAM.
Your mobo supports dual channel DDR 266/333/400, using four 184-pin DDR DIMMs.
If your mobo supports your RAM then i advice you to check it.
Plug it at a friends pc and check it with a utility (memtest+, goldmemory)

If you check all the above and still have the problem, i suggest to return your mobo to your provider.
