    Options settings emulater problem

I can run the emulater fine and all plugins are set correctly. When i go to the options and settings drop down menu and after clicking options i get a few error messages, failed to load , reinstall or something similar, failed to load dll and failed to load plugin. After i click ok on the two error screens the emulater finaly lets me go into the settings section and things are fine.

These errors do not stop me from playing roms and running the emulater but when i do try to change plugins these error messages do come on screen and i can't seem to find out why. The error messages do come up but after clicking ok i can then get into the plugin options and all does work fine, why does the errors come up for seemingly no reason but do not effect the emulater other than an onscreen error that i can get rid of after i click ok on both?

    My system specs: Windows XP SP 2, AMD64 2.4ghz, 1gb ram, radeon 9200 128mb.

    Thanks for any advise.

If you receive an error it helps to specify or post that error.

From your post I can only deduce that you probably have other plugins which you have not set up properly, as in, you lack the DLL files they require. In general, search Google or EmuTalk for the file and put it in PJ64's folder.

In the case of Glide64, the Glide3x.dll wrapper file comes with the package and goes in PJ64's folder. Rice's Video uses BMGlib.dll which is a separate download in the Rice's Video thread, as well as some C/C++ libraries which can be found on Google if you get these errors. Direct64 may complain about a missing DirectX file if you don't have a newer redist installed.

Similar errors can also happen if you have outdated drivers and (less likely) DirectX.

I have all the plugins that pj64 came with running and none else, like i said it does not stop me from playing but only if i try to enter that options setting screen i have the error screens appear. It just kinda seemed strange to me that i had errors and the emulater still worked fine. If i just do not bother to go to those settings no errors pop up.

I guess it just has something to do with my system somehow.

    Thanks for your reply.
