Resident Evil 2 slowdown w/ depth buffer

From searching around this forum I discovered the best plugin combo for RE2 is Azimer's 0.56 WIP2 and Glide64 with wrapper and depth buffer enabled. However, when I have the depth buffer enabled it causes the whole game to run at around 3 fps. I've tried both zeckensack's and hacktarux's wrappers.

    Here are my system specs:
    Athlon64 3000+
    1 GB ddr400
    Radeon 9550
    crappy Realtek AC'97 onboard audio

hacktarux's wrapper does not work right with this game yet, don't even try it. You must use latest version of zeckensack's wrapper. To be sure, place zeckensack's glide3x.dll right into emulator's folder. This file must be 258048 bytes long.

Zeckensack's wrapper uses a setup program to install so I don't know where it puts glide3x.dll. I looked in program files --> glide wrapper but the dll wasn't in there.

Glide3x.dll is either in Windows/System32 or in the emulator folder.

yes, and if its in system32, then its automatically used and doesn't need to be copied to the pj64 directory

Alright I got zeckensack's wrapper running and it runs well now with depth buffer and the graphics look correct, but now for some reason none of the voices are playing. I got voices when I was using hacktarux's wrapper though so I'm confused as how a change in video plugin/wrapper would affect the audio like this?

i doubt you got voices, as anyone who has come before you has had issues with voices in RE-2

    Working configuration for RE2:
    Mupen64 +
    Jabo RSP +
    Glide64 with zeckensack's wrapper +
    Azimer's 0.56 WIP
People say that PJ1.7beta also has good sound in this game.
