.TGA ripper and reinserter for PSX games?

I was wondering if there are any programs out there (or still in development) that can rip and reinsert textures in PSX games that use the .TGA format for textures instead of .TIM

Before you scream "google n00b!" I already did.

    Thanks.

Have you seen any PSX game mods that have edited textures (or any kind of mods outside translation efforts)?

I don't know about ripping textures, but you can't reinsert them.

Do you mean I can't reinsert them on account of it being a CD-ROM? Because CDmage can add and replace files to an ISO.

No, I'm just saying that it may not be as easy as you think. But ok, if you can get it to work, congratulatios.

What's PSX games use TGAs as textures?

The old Tomb Raider games used .TGA. Either that, or something that definitely isn't .TIM.

I know there are .TIM rippers and reinserters for PSX games. I was just wondering if similar programs exist for the .TGA format.
