The Tough Guide to the Known Galaxy

I found this wonderfully humorous web page for those who like to have a good laugh read this "The Tough Guide to the Known Galaxy"
It brings out a lot of humorous points to SciFi's concepts and plot mechanisms.

Dude, as a sci-fi nut... and nut in general this looks pretty interesting. Kinda reminds me of HGTTG. Juz wondering wat you think of the new Doctor Who (I assume you like DW hence the name Cyberman) I haven't seen the new series yet.

Also are you old enough to remember another classic series (Though not as sucessful as DW) Blake's Seven? That was so old school but so much fun!

When i was a wee lad (Embarassed to admit this!) i made a dodgy silver blaster thingie and a pink (Dont get the wrong idea!) TRANSPORTER and used to run around the playground screaming TELEPORT!!!

    Oh, the memories...

I had a good laugh too.. especially about the antigravity and gravity on ships .... AHEM

Yes I've watched Dr Who and Have watched the new Dr Who. the new one is different a lot more action oriented but still fairly good, although it has more handwavium technology via Disnesque techniques.

Excuse me if im hijacking this thread Cyberman but no on one else is posting and this thread is dying a slow tedious death.

Im sure theres plenty of sci-fi heads out there who'd like to talk all things
sci-fi so here's my lame attempt to ressurect this thread.

My question is this: Are there toilets on the Entreprise or do they beam their shit into outta space?

Trekkies/Klingons feel free to answer. 7 of 9 even better!

Since fecal excrement is your basic useless matter they convert it back into energy ala transporter type technology and use it too make more food or run the lights on board. Either way.

It's funny how Star Trek with all its techno babble never explains this - now i know why! Its enough to put you off your Vulcan Tea!

My next question is a doozy, WTF happened at the end of 2001: A Space Odyssey?

See 2010 and 2068 the sequels?
Dave was absorbed by the obolisk in summary.
In 2010 Dave returns Hal gets turned back on and the mystery of Hal's murderous attempts are uncovered. the next bit of weirder things happens of course. They have to escape while the world is embrioled in a war. But who is they? Well you could watch the movie!

Didnt know there was a sequel to 2010 (2068), which i have seen but cant remember what happened, except it had something to do with Jupiter and it had Roy Snider (Guy from Jaws and Blue Thunder) but the rest is hazy. I'll have to check out the trilogy one day when my busy movie schedule is free.

Right now i feel in the mood for a bit of Tarantino... When the hell is the Director's Cut of Kill BIll coming out?
