Problem with Starfox 2 on Snes9x

Every time I load up Starfox 2, the games runs flawlessly until the very moment I can actually move in a level. Then it crashes. . .

I know Starfox 2 was never realeased in America and that could be the source of the problem. But I've heard of people who played and finished the game with no problem at all.

What's wrong? Am I missing something here? Thanks.

Are you sure you are using the correct rom image for Starfox 2? There are many incomplete images that have various issues. To rule this out, could you provide a NSRT output of your rom image?

    http://nsrt.edgeemu.com/forum/portal.php

NSRT is also able to convert certain known invalid Starfox 2 images into valid Starfox 2 images.

I have completed the valid image with Snex9x with no crash (ZSNES does crash, known issue) so the emulator to my knowedge is probably not at fault unless you are not using the latest version or a derivitive of the latest version.

Yep, did so a while ago (soft-patched with the Aeon Genesis translation).

I downlaoded and installed the porgram. I have to admit, I'm really not sure how to use it properly. If anyone can give a me crash-course on the program and how to repair bad-dump ROMs, let me know please.

To my limited knowledge, I think this is the read-out you're asking for for?:

    NSRT v3.3 - Nach's SNES ROM Tools

    ---------------------Internal ROM Info----------------------
    File: StarFox2 Beta 1.1.smc
Name: STAR FOX 2 Company: Imagineer-Zoom
    Header: None Bank: LoROM
    Interleaved: No SRAM: 524288 Kb
    Type: Normal ROM: 8 Mb
    Country: Euro/Asia/Oceania Video: PAL
ROM Speed: 200ns (SlowROM) Revision: 1.0
    Checksum: Bad 0x43B7 != 0x3FC9 CRC32: 3389A5BF
    MD5: DF1586281ED38AC15D703980294E5A8B
    --------------------------Database--------------------------
ROM wasn't found in the database (possible bad dump).

As I was working with this I noticed that this rom is apparently a beta. Is the working ROM supposed to be a beta? Or is there a more complete version out there?

    And thanks for your help.

    EDIT:
Also, I checked how recent my emulator is. It's version #1.4 as opposed to the most recent 1.43. So downloaded to most recent version, but I can't get that to work either; for some reason, my computer doesn't want to reconize the ".exe" file.

Yep, that's the output, but it's definitely a bad dump - which is probably the cause of the problem.

Okay then, what are my options? Is there a way to fix this specific ROM, or should I just search for a ROM version that works?
