360 controller compatibility with PJ64

I recently downloaded pj 64 1.6. I'm trying to use a 360 controller via the usb charging kit, but when i try to map the controller it is totally unresponsive. any ideas of what's wrong?

Which input plugin are you trying?
If you use NRage make sure you chose X360 controller pad from the dropdown menu.
Does Windows recognizes the controller? My 2 X360 controllers work without problems.

the usb charing cable can't send data it only charges. For that you need the wire controller or the wireless reciever
